Building Website Trust

First impressions count with websites, just as they do with people.

You'll want your website to convey positive values about your business - honesty, legitimacy. In a word - trust.

You'd be surprised at how many websites fail to do this, so making sure that you do build trust helps you gain a competitive advantge over the other sites and businesses that you compete with.

But, how do you build trust with your website? Are there formulas? Tricks of the trade to learn? Magic secrets that webmasters know and will only reveal for a price?

Fortunatelly, it's not black magic, and it's not complicated. No formulas. No tricks.

Mostly, it's attention to detail - doing a lot of seemingly little things... right.

Over the next while, we'll share with you a list of things to consider for your site. If you already have a site up and running, use these ideas to "audit" your site, and maybe incorporate any that ar missing. If you're starting, consider how to build them in from the outset.

Tentatively, we'll group them into several categories...

  • website design
  • website navigation design
  • website coding and design
  • website design trends
  • website design document
  • wesite design basic concepts
  • create your own website design
  • biggest mistakes of website design
