As a subscriber to Understanding Family Business and someone who knows and values our web organization, Family Business Experts, you know how much importance we place on improving family communications, brainstorming and innovation. I personally believe that is one of the core reasons we are the top ranked family business resource on the Internet.

We recently added a new section to the web site called Business Communication and we have received very favorable responses from people talking about gaining a better understanding of the extent or comprehensiveness of the different channels of “communications” in their business. There is no doubt about it, effective communications can profoundly improve the growth and profitability of your business, and in so many different ways.

Running a business isn't easy -- everybody knows that. With all the headaches you have to deal with, sometimes you almost feel like taking a nice quiet nondescript job sitting in a cubicle somewhere!

But what if you had a proven system that made your biggest headaches -- getting new business, and getting more business out of your existing clients and customers -- as easy as falling off a log?

That would make ALL your other problems -- regardless of WHAT they were -- pretty painless, no?

Well, along those lines, I would like to introduce you to Craig Garber, who is a direct-response copywriter - and considered by many to be one of the best in the business. I have worked with Craig and I know that his title as the "King of Copy” is well deserved.

Craig is putting on an event down in Orlando in March, called the Information Marketing Expo, and it's an event I highly suggest you attend. You can go here for more information on this: https://www.family-business-experts.com/uime

Craig Garber lives in FL and is a transplanted New Yorker. If you haven't been exposed to Craig's non-traditional, but HIGHLY effective marketing before, you're in for a real treat. But one caution here: if you are easily offended by being told the truth, or if you insist that betting the farm on conventional wisdom is the way to make a bundle, this seminar is not for you.

However, if you would like to invest a few bucks in your professional development and to do something that will enhance the success of your business - this seminar is something for you. There is no doubt in my mind that you and your business will benefit greatly by taking part in this seminar.

How can I make this assertion? Because, in most family businesses, marketing and business development practices are deeply embedded, done by rote, without much thinking and reflection, and consequently, slow to change.

Craig's seminar in Orlando will enable you to do some serious brainstorming that will produce some powerful innovations in your business.

So do something great for yourself (and your business) and sign up for Craig’s seminar and plan a Spring Break in Orlando!

Reminder: We've developed a couple of quick diagnostic assessments to help you. They are both fr*ee [at least for a while] and we try to deliver 48 hour turnaround of our analysis. Try them!

The Holonomic Top Down Assessment asks you about a combination of the 12 Main Enabling Processes that an effective organization has to have operating in order to achieve the 6 Desired Organizational Characteristics of effective organizations. Where your assessment indicates one or more of these are not working in your organization, we'll feed back suggestions as to the underlying Leadership Practices that might not be working.

Take our fr*ee Holonomic Top Down Assessment to see what underlying practices might be at fault and causing problem symptoms in your family business .

Diagnosing from the other direction - Bottom-Up - we ask you to identify which of 29 Leadership Practices aren't present or working. From that, we point you to Enabling Processes and thus Desired Characteristics that probably aren't functioning.

Take our fr*ee assessment on the 29 Leadership Practices to see how they affect your family business.

Whether to contribute, challenge (or hopefully even praise) our newsletter, I encourage you to contact me directly Don, or our editor David.
Enjoy, and here's wishing you, your family, your clients... much success!
