As a wholesale distributor, Ewing provides water management solutions, commercial and residential irrigation supplies, landscape and turf products, erosion control, hardscape, landscape lighting, water features and industrial plastics to professionals serving the landscape, turf, golf, agriculture and industrial industries.
An education provider since 2006, Ewing has trained thousands of Green Industry professionals by hosting hundreds of informative, empowering workshops in 21 states.
Ewing is a strong partner locally and nationally with efforts to train professionals and expand awareness to a broad spectrum of green management strategies including applications such as rainwater harvesting. Bob Drew, president of Atlanta-based Ecovie, and a member of the Board of Directors of ARCSA (American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association and President of SERHSA (Southeast Rainwater Harvesting Systems Association) notes that "Ewing has been integral in our educational efforts through ARCSA and has also rolled up their sleeves to help start our local effort as a charter member of the non-profit SERHSA organization."

Ewing Irrigation’s story begins in 1922, when Atlas Lawn Sprinkler was founded in San Francisco. In 1938, King W. Ewing joined Atlas, participating in sales and installation. He acquired the design and supply division in 1948 and renamed it Ewing Turf Products, laying the foundation for what today is one of the largest wholesale providers of professional quality landscape and irrigation materials in the United States.
In 1963, King’s daughter Sue and her husband Ray York assumed the day-to-day operations of Ewing and relocated the company headquarters to San Leandro, Calif. The company name became Ewing Irrigation Products in 1967, to reflect its transformation into a full-line irrigation supply distributor.
Joining Ray and Sue in achieving their vision, sons Doug and Richard have been involved in the development and management of the family business since 1978. In 2002, Doug was named President of Ewing and Richard was appointed Executive Vice President, establishing a third generation of Ewing/York family leadership.
2012 marked 90 years of remarkable success and accomplishments for Ewing, including expanded territories and new locations, an ever-increasing product offering, advancing technologies and a growing team of caring and knowledgeable employees.
Under the direction of Doug and Richard, Ewing has grown and experienced many changes, enabling Ewing to provide customers with the best service in the industry.
Headquartered in Phoenix, Ewing locally serves customers at 188 branches in 21 states and online. We continue to be the nation’s most efficient supplier of landscape and irrigation, golf and industrial products.
