Our family business focuses on two specialties: transcription services and drafting services.

I started the transcription portion of our business when our oldest daughter was one year old. (She will be 21 this year.) She now works in the business with me part time while going to college.

My husband has been doing drafting work all his adult life. After a layoff in 1999 he decided the time was right to "bring it home." He knew what he was getting himself into right away because he had helped me through the early years of getting my business going.

We definitely have our peaks and valleys in business, as well as the struggle of taxes and health insurance, but our family agrees that we wouldn't do it any other way.
