In 2009 I had a hip replacement - the first of three joints that I need to have done. The diagnosis of osteoarthritis came as a real surprise and the thought that I needed my joint replacement was a shock.
It all seemed to happen so quickly. Now that I'm a few months post-op - totally free of pain and with increased mobility and flexibility I know I made the right decision but I just so wish I'd been able to find all the information about the procedure quickly and easily and on the internet.
But I couldn't. So I decided to make up a website to help other patients and to answer all the questions that I wanted answering.
The site is still young and I've more work to do building content and on the look and feel but it's doing fine and, what's more, I enjoy writing it.
